Student Visa

Student Visa – Documentation

We will need copies of documents such as your passport and any certificates for your educational qualifications, which should be notarized.

Please make sure that you get them to us in good time, so that we can check and confirm that everything is in order and your entry into the country is not delayed.

If you have any difficulties, please do not hesitate to get in touch with the team. We are here to support you every step of the way.

Examining your application

In the first instance, we will examine your Visa application for you to ensure it is correctly filled in and submitted.

As with all other documents, you must send them to AISM as early as you are able, so if any corrections or additional paperwork is required it can be dealt with in good time.

We will keep you informed at all times. In the unlikely event that there is a change to VISA arrangements, we will of course inform you immediately, providing our full support.

Support from the AISM team

The above process can take up to four or five weeks to complete. So please do not be concerned if you do not receive immediate replies.

Following the recommendations described above ensure documentation is submitted as early as possible. It is then likely that we will be able to ensure that all paperwork is completed well in advance of your arrival in Guyana and AISM.

Our team is very experienced in assisting students with their VISA applications and required documentation, so please be assured of our full support and attention.

Letter of confirmation

The next step will be a letter of confirmation which will be issued to you before traveling to Guyana. On your arrival at the airport, a member of our team will welcome you to confirm you are issued with a VISA.

It is essential that on your arrival in Guyana you have this letter of confirmation with you to ensure your smooth entry into the country.

As indicated a member of our team will be waiting for you, providing full assistance through the airport and onto the university.

Embassy Documents

You will require documents from your country’s Guyanese Embassy with you on arrival. Amongst the documents should be the acceptance letter with you on arrival in Guyana.

Below is a checklist of items that you will require. If there is anything on this list that you are unsure of, please do not hesitate to get in touch with a member of the team who will be delighted to assist you.

The document list can seem daunting! But please don’t worry you are a member of the AISM family and as such, you can rely on support that will take you every step of the way.
